EXECUTIVE COACHING

A close and confidential relationship where leaders can discuss complex topics and challenging work dynamics with a thought-partner to better understand their own strengths, deficiencies, and motivators.

To be successful at work and life, we must lead with alignment across all areas.

In my coaching engagements we have conversations around work performance, efficiency, impact, and goals.  In depth discussions focusing on what values and beliefs drive your work approach and effect how you perceive others, how well as an executive you connect with colleagues and lead teams with direction and compassion, how to sustain personal health and well-being by managing energy, capacity and work-life balance, and what mindset, focus, and decision-making patterns help attain goals most effectively.

Common areas of focus during coaching conversations are mastering role transitions, leading through change, improving executive presence and impact, finding balance while avoiding burnout, and specific problem-solving solutions.

Many people confuse coaching with counseling, mentoring, and consulting.

Executive Coaching is a confidential conversation focused on helping clients move forward toward their goals, hopes, and explore curiosities—not exploring their past. For coaching to be helpful, it should be directly tied to what the client wants to accomplish, through a process that is directed by the client, where he/she is empowered to uncover and develop their own path to achieving their goal and does the majority of the talking. Coaching unlocks personal and professional potential by asking questions to help clients discover their own answers. Coaching is future-focused! The goal of coaching is supported insight, increased awareness, and clarity in direction and action to achieve goals.

In contrast and Comparison:

Consulting provides specialized, expert solutions. The consultant analyzes a problem and tells you exactly what to do or implements the fix for you

Mentoring is a self-directed, mutually beneficial, long-term relationship between two individuals for career advancement, in which the mentor does most of the talking and offers advice. While coaching is a true partnership among equals, mentoring most typically consists of a more experienced person directly guiding the mentee through an experience that the mentor has already been through.

Provides guidance based on the mentor's own experience. A senior expert advises and guides a less experienced person in their field.

Counseling offers introspection and time looking at one’s past, whereas coaching is future-oriented. Coaching does not offer therapeutic outcomes like counseling. In counseling, a client is working with a licensed professional who is seen as the expert in assessing, diagnosing, and developing treatment recommendations to help improve symptoms in a way that is most effective for the client.

Leadership Development

Icon - 3 people.png

Not a trait one is born with but a skill that can be developed over time.

Leadership development is a structured approach to improving someone's capacity to lead, influence, and motivate teams. By cultivating essential skills like strategic foresight, emotional intelligence, and adaptability, this process equips professionals across all organizational tiers to excel in current and upcoming leadership positions.

Leadership development encompasses activities and initiatives designed to enhance the skills, abilities, and qualities of individuals to help them lead more effectively within your organization. It involves a deliberate and systematic process aimed at identifying, nurturing, and empowering potential leaders. Leadership development goes beyond traditional training programs to focus on fostering a mindset conducive to leadership excellence and continuous growth.

According to data from the Center for Creative Leadership, nearly 60% of new managers receive no training before stepping into their roles, leaving them to navigate the transition through stress and trial and error.

Leadership development is one of the most pressing issues facing organizations today according to the Center for Creative Leadership and Gallup & Gartner studies.

Most organizations do not have a leadership gap, they have a preparation gap.

WHY IT MATTERS !

Up to 71% of Millennials report they will leave their jobs within 3 years if leadership development is lacking. Conversely, 58% of employees would stay longer at a company that actively offers leadership growth. (www.exec.com)

Over 50% of managers state they have never received any formal leadership or management training.(Gallup - State of the Global Workplace: 2025 Report )

Teams with high engagement achieve 23% higher profitability. (Gallup, State of the Global Workplace Report)

86% of employees cite poor communication as a major cause of workplace failures. (Edelman, “2025 Edelman Trust Barometer…”)

Investing in leadership development is more critical than ever for companies, particularly when — according to a Gartner survey — 67% of employees seeking a new job look outside their organization first. Investing in leadership development can help companies keep great talent within their organization.

Investing in leadership development can help boost retention of high-quality employees and save money in the process. Gartner reports that every departing employee costs an organization, on average, $18,591. On top of that, research on first-time managers shows that 25% of organizations experience profit loss due to ineffective frontline leaders, further emphasizing the importance of leadership development within an organization.

If you don't invest in leadership development opportunities for your employees, they will seek out a workplace that will.

Organizational Change

Actions a Business takes to shift how it operates to support company growth.

Organizational change refers to the actions a business takes to shift how it operates.  This could be updating the culture, rebuilding workflow processes, changing infrastructure or team hierarchy, and /or evolving to a new mission.

Organizational change is also about helping people work smarter and supporting the company’s growth in a positive work environment.

Many organizational change initiatives fail simply because people resist them — McKinsey research confirms that lack of employee buy-in is a primary cause. Seven strategies reliably overcome this: crafting a detailed plan, identifying resistance sources proactively, maintaining transparency and honesty, empowering employees, communicating far more than feels necessary, celebrating quick wins, and continuously monitoring against defined metrics. Research shows strategic employee involvement drives acceptance, interpersonal trust, and a sense of control.

Culture Assessment

What is a Culture Assessment & Why does it matter?

A workplace culture assessment is a structured evaluation of the values, behaviors, and systems that shape how an organization operates. It identifies gaps between the organization's stated mission and employees' day-to-day experiences, providing insights that strengthen engagement, performance, and organizational effectiveness.

A comprehensive culture assessment also reveals the difference between leadership's perception of the organization and the reality of how work is experienced and accomplished every day.

An organizational culture assessment is important because it provides objective insight into how employees experience the workplace and how that experience affects business performance. While strategy defines where an organization wants to go, culture influences whether employees consistently act in ways that support those goals. A culture assessment helps leaders identify strengths, uncover barriers to performance, and prioritize improvements based on evidence rather than assumptions.

Clinical Psychology

Introspective analysis to produce a therapeutic outcome for change.

Leadership is inherently a people-centered endeavor. It involves not only steering the organization towards its strategic goals but also managing conflicts, navigating through change, and inspiring teams.

Psychology, the science of understanding human behavior and mental processes, is therefore a critical lens through which executive challenges should be viewed and addressed.

Clinical psychology provides the framework for navigating deep behavioral patterns, subconscious defenses, and underlying mental health dynamics that traditional business-oriented coaching cannot address.

Traditional executive coaching focuses on tactical performance. But when leadership blockages, team friction, or burnout occur, the root causes are usually deeper. Coaches with psychology training are able to get to the depths of behavior and uncover the root causes to many leadership dynamics.

The nuanced understanding of human behavior, emotional intelligence training, and personalized growth strategies offered by such coaches can provide executives with the unseen edge they need to succeed in today’s complex business environment.
